Why accessibility is important to students
We know how important it is to cater to different learning styles. Our TEFL courses train teachers to plan and deliver lessons that appeal to students who process information differently, whether their classroom is in
Spain
,
Vietnam
, or
online
. But this goes beyond language learning, and teachers have different learning styles too.
Learning isn’t “one size fits all,” and that’s why we’re innovating to meet a huge demand among students. Studies suggest that audiobook and
podcast formats improves self-guided learning
, and e-learning is only becoming more popular among students.
So whether you’re traveling to work, cooking dinner, or you just prefer to soak up information by listening, you can refine your knowledge and skills to become a teacher from anywhere.
What Will I Learn With This TEFL Course?
A TEFL certificate is a common job requirement for teaching across the world, but it’s also a huge part of your development as a teacher. With our new audio course, you’ll learn how to manage classrooms, plan lessons, explain complex grammar rules, and overcome common obstacles in the English as a foreign language classroom.
The 120-hour course modules are the same across both formats, and here’s what you can expect to learn:
50-hour English Language Teaching Methodology
: Understand how different teaching methods, philosophies, and classroom management techniques work. You’ll also learn the nuances of teaching large groups, one-to-one lessons, providing constructive feedback, and much more.
30-hour Grammar and Language Awareness
: As fluent speakers, we know how to communicate in English. But, what about
explaining
how we communicate? In this module, you’ll learn how to make studying English – from verbs to present, past and future tenses – easy for your students.
20-hour Video Observation
: You might be an auditory learner, but watching teaching in effect can be excellent for your development. You’ll witness the theorist become the practitioner in the classroom, as an expert teacher applies TEFL techniques with real students.
10-hour Teaching Online
: Learn how to teach English from behind the screen. Online learning is the go-to choice for many English students, and this module will teach you the foundations and the differences between in-class learning.
10-hour Teaching Large Classes
: Large classrooms can look intimidating, but in this module, you’ll learn how to organise lessons and teach the target language while keeping students engaged.
You’ll have 6 months to complete the course, but most of our students graduate within 10–12 weeks. Others become TEFL certified in as quickly as 4–6 weeks! This means that you could be teaching English abroad in as little as a couple of months, whether you have your eyes set on
Thailand
,
China
, or
Costa Rica
.
