Job Details

This Grammar School in Banská Štiavnica, Slovakia is currently looking for motivated English-speaking lecturer for teaching 20-25 TH (teaching hours) a week (1 TH = 45-min.) starting in September 2026.

You will deliver lessons aimed at Conversation and General English, Face-to-face teaching takes place on the school premises, there are usually 12-15 students in the class. Student´s levels range from B1 to C1. All lessons are taught from Mondays to Fridays and classes usually start at 7:45, most teaching finishes by 3pm, and 1pm on Fridays. No teaching takes place at the weekend.

Specific responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are appropriate for your students, help students improve their speaking confidence through conversations and interactive activities. If you are interested, you may also participate in creative workshops, after-school clubs and Erasmus + projects. Lecturers mainly support language learning and international activities. Depending on their skills and nationality, they can also teach French, German or Spanish lessons. Lecturers may be offered either a standard employment contract or a lecturer´s contract.
