Job Details

A kindergarten in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, is seeking an experienced Homeroom English Teacher to join its team as soon as possible. This role focuses on creating an English-immersion environment where young children can develop their language skills, confidence, and social, emotional, and cognitive abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead an assigned homeroom class and create a warm, safe, and engaging English-immersion environment.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons that support children’s language, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Manage daily classroom routines, including circle time, learning centers, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods.
  • Organize and participate in school events, including graduation ceremonies, sports days, holiday celebrations, and parent-teacher meetings.
  • Collaborate with Chinese co-teachers and other staff to plan classroom activities, events, and school-wide programs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Native-level English speaker
  • One of the following qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Education
  • A bachelor’s degree plus a TEFL/TESOL certification
  • At least two years of an equivalent teaching qualification, as specified by the employer
  • At least two years of experience teaching young children aged 2–6
  • Experience in toddler care or early-years education is preferred for the Toddler class role
