Job Details

As an English Language Assistant, your main goal is to inspire young learners to engage with English confidently and naturally.

You will collaborate closely with experienced teachers, supporting early language exposure through dynamic, age-appropriate activities. Success in this role looks like creating a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated, curious, and comfortable using English from an early age.

Responsibilities

Support English lessons for students aged 12 to 16.
Work alongside the main classroom teacher to lead and support whole-class activities.
Organize and participate in small-group and whole-class sessions, adapting content to their learning needs.
Encourage natural oral interaction and language development in an engaging way.
Share aspects of your culture and traditions in an age-appropriate and inclusive manner.

Placement Details

Placement Location: Palma de Mallorca
Age range: students aged 12 to 16 years old
Weekly hours: 20 weekly teaching hours
Monthly stipend: €963
Placement duration: January 8, 2026, to June 12, 2026
School calendar: Paid school holidays included
Coverage under the Spanish National Healthcare System.

Placement Requirements

Native-level English proficiency.
Recent university graduate with:
A Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years, EQF Level 6 equivalent), or
A Master’s degree in Education or Linguistics, obtained in 2021or later.
Clean criminal record.
Spanish knowledge is a plus, but not required.
