Part-Time English Teacher (Online – Independent Contractor)

Location: Remote (Applicants based in Costa Rica preferred)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Duration: 6 months - 1 year

Hours: Approximately 30 hours per month

Schedule: Must be immediately available Monday to Thursday, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Costa Rica time)

Compensation: $13 USD per hour (paid as a contractor for hours worked)

Job Description:

They are seeking a part-time English teacher to work as an independent contractor delivering professional language instruction remotely. This is not an employee position but a service-based contract agreement. The ideal candidate has solid experience teaching Business English, is skilled in online instruction, and is committed to delivering engaging, results-oriented classes to professional adults.

Main Responsibilities:

Deliver Business English classes via Zoom, averaging approximately 20 hours per month.
Design and implement lesson plans tailored to adult learners in professional contexts.
Use digital tools to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
Provide student feedback and progress updates.
Maintain effective communication with students and the administrative team.
Demonstrate professionalism and actively contribute to a collaborative teaching community.

Requirements:

University degree & TEFL Certification or CELTA
At least 1 year of experience teaching English to adults, preferably in business contexts.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms like Zoom, LMS, digital whiteboards, etc.
Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness.
Stable internet connection.
A laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and a good-quality headset.
A professional and quiet workspace.
Availability Monday to Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Costa Rica time).
