Requirements

• Native English speaker (U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree (Education, Languages, or related fields preferred)

• Experience teaching school-age children (preferred but not mandatory)

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to plan engaging and dynamic lessons and support student learning.

• Commitment to maintaining a respectful, positive, and professional relationship with students, families, and staff.

• Willingness to work in Valledupar, Colombia for the school year (10 months).

• Openness to Colombian culture and teamwork in a bilingual educational environment.

Teachers are welcome to pursue other work opportunities, such as online teaching, tutoring, freelance projects, or roles outside the education sector. However, to avoid conflicts of interest, they require that you do not teach at other schools or educational institutions similar to theirs during your contract period. Your primary professional commitment must remain with Colegio San Fernando.
