Elementary School Homeroom Teacher — Beijing International Academy
📍 Location: Beijing, China
🗓️ Start: ASAP or August 2025
📚 Subjects: English Language; Transdisciplinary Inquiry
🧑🏫 Key Responsibilities
• Prepare & deliver lessons; assess learning, give feedback, maintain records
• Develop curriculum materials; keep subject knowledge current; prepare for exams
• Manage classroom behavior; take homeroom/pastoral duties; support students individually
• Communicate with parents; attend meetings, parents’ evenings, whole-school training
• Lead/organize extracurriculars (electives, outings, concerts, sports)
• Participate in observations & CPD; collaborative planning; class decoration
• Serve on committees; supervise night study; support external accreditation
• Join weekend recruitment (≥1 Sat/Sun per month, ≤8 weekends/year)
• Take part in school assembly programs; other duties during official work hours

Requirements
🎓 Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Preferred: 2+ years relevant experience; postgraduate degree in Education/related
• Teaching license recognized by home country’s education ministry (advantage)
• Plus points: IB PYP/IPC inquiry approach; ELT certificates; IB/IPC/Cambridge workshops; homeroom experience; familiarity with MAPS / Raz-kids / Cambridge YLE
