Here at The TEFL Org we would like to reassure students booked onto our courses that we are taking our responsibility seriously and wish to do all we can to work in line with the government guidelines in relation to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Since March we have been following UK, Scottish, Welsh, Northern Ireland, Irish and Spanish government guidelines in relation to operating and running classroom courses and we have taken the following steps.
- Our staff are all working from home.
- Telephone lines are now reopened.
Classroom course update 14/10/20
Due to the latest update from UK government in regards to England we have decided that courses will not be held in areas deemed to be COVID risk level HIGH or VERY HIGH. Please make sure and be aware of the risk level of both the area you live in and of that where the course is to be held, if different.
We will look at course dates three weeks in advance and try to cancel any course three weeks in advance to try and give as much notice as possible. However, due to the ever-changing nature of the pandemic this may not always be possible.
Due to the latest updates from the Scottish, Irish, Welsh and Northern Irish governments and in keeping with previous rules, we will not currently be running courses anywhere in these countries/areas.
Anyone booking a combined or classroom course will be able to reschedule the 20hr or 30hr face-to-face section of their course to a later date if their course is unable to go ahead. For those students with an upcoming course:
Firstly, we would like to assure you that the health and safety of our students and team is of utmost concern and we are continually monitoring the situation and trying to follow government guidelines.
As the situation varies greatly from country to country, we are continually assessing on a course by course basis whether a course will be able to run.
If we are unable to run a course we will contact you immediately and you will be offered the opportunity to attend a classroom course at a later date or participate in a virtual classroom course.
If your course does go ahead, we ask you to follow all advice and precautions provided to you included in the government advice of your area.
In addition to this, should you have travelled overseas within the previous 14 days, or if you or a family member feel unwell, please do not attend the course and instead contact us to reschedule your classroom course. Please follow all social distancing, sanitary and face covering guidance provided by us and/or the course tutor.
Please stay up to date on the advice in your location and contact us should you have any concerns.
Alternatively you may wish to choose our 20-hour Virtual classroom course.
What does this mean for you?
If your classroom course has been cancelled, you have the option of switching to another date in the future or there is also now the option of taking a virtual classroom course.
There is more information on these on the site
Please email the office with your preferred dates for either the classroom or virtual classroom course, which are available on the website. We will assign you to this course. If you are unable to take a future course then please contact the office by email.
Your online courses remain unaffected. Certificates will be sent out within 14 days, please contact us if you need it more urgently.
If you want to book a classroom course you may do so on a date after August, if there is no change in the COVID-19 situation then we can move your preferred date at no charge.
You can now contact us by phone, chat or email but please remember we are all working remotely from one another and things can take a bit longer than usual, so we ask for your patience and understanding. Please be assured that we will respond to your enquiries.
We will be in touch with updates as the situation unfolds and in the meantime wish you all well.
Very best wishes,
Jennifer and Joe
