Our Mission
The TEFL Org’s aim is to provide anyone who speaks English fluently with the chance to teach English abroad and online. The company offers a flexible and varied form of training designed to suit anyone’s budget or schedule.
Our History
The TEFL Org was established back in 2008, originally as TEFL Scotland, by Jennifer MacKenzie and Joe Hallwood. The pair met while teaching English in Greece and after years of teaching across the UK and Europe together, decided to form their own teacher training company to share their experience and knowledge of TEFL with other budding teachers.
Within 18 months, TEFL England, TEFL Wales and TEFL Courses Ireland were created to deliver the same high-quality training courses across the rest of the UK and Ireland.
In 2013, TEFL Org UK was formed as a merger of the TEFL Scotland, TEFL England and TEFL Wales brands, bringing together the expertise of tutors and teacher trainers from across the UK.
In late 2017, TEFL Org went stateside and established a presence in the United States to provide a dedicated range of courses to the American market.
Since 2019, The TEFL Org has undergone an extensive rebrand and website merger, and into 2020, developed a range of virtual training options to meet the demand of global learners.
