The GET Programme is their language training initiative, conducted aboard the Pacific World, their newest and most luxurious vessel. Volunteers have the chance to travel the globe with their students, teaching practical English and Spanish through GET’s task-based learning approach. Teachers will also have the opportunity to learn from a diverse group of guest educators, including academics, peace-builders, sustainability advocates, entertainers, and more, all while circumnavigating the world by sea!
What's Involved?
This onboard language programme, is communication-based and aims to improve students' confidence and English and/or Spanish abilities through a dynamic combination of onboard classwork, language-based events and activities, and exchange programmes in ports of call. Participants acquire necessary language skills to make their voyage as memorable and meaningful as possible. For teachers, the programme offers the opportunity to work with a great deal of autonomy, using their creativity both in and out of the classroom while enjoying the unique experience that is Peace Boat Japan!
