Job Details

This school is seeking talented English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers for positions in Beijing, China. The ESL teacher will deliver their provided curriculum, adapting the teaching style to best suit student needs. Teachers will collaborate with a Chinese Teaching Assistant to ensure the highest quality of education and will create targeted homework assignments to address areas for improvement.

Students range from 3 to 18 years old, and teachers should be prepared to instruct across all age groups. Class sizes are capped at 8 students, with each lesson lasting 2 hours. Classes are scheduled on weekdays from 16:00 and on weekends from 9:00.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ESL teaching capabilities, flexibility to adapt different teaching styles, and a motivated spirit to join their dedicated educational community.

Responsibilities:

· Execute provided lesson plans within the two-hour class, adapting your teaching style to optimize student engagement.

· Manage classrooms of students aged 3-18, with a maximum class size of 8.

· Collaborate closely with a Chinese Teaching Assistant to deliver comprehensive educational support.

· Partner with management to monitor and promote each student's academic progress.

· Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student development.

· Utilize provided planning time to prepare thoroughly for each class.

· Fulfill a 40-hour work week, which includes 24 teaching hours.

· Work a five-day schedule that includes both weekend days (Saturday and Sunday).

· Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for every student.

· Foster positive, supportive relationships with all students.

· Contribute a high-energy and engaging personality to our dynamic teaching community.

· Cooperate fully with the process to obtain a legal Chinese Z-visa.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree (required by Chinese law).

· TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent certification (required by Chinese law).

· Native English speaker or fully fluent proficiency.

· Preferred to have 5 years of teaching experience.
