Job Description: ESL Teacher for English Academy in Melgar de Fernamental (BURGOS Province)

Position: ESL Teacher (self-employed - profesor autónomo)

Location: Melgar de Fernamental, Spain

Type: Part-Time (Class-based, presencial teaching)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 15:00 - 19:30 (Class schedules assigned based on availability)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons based on the natural method of language learning, where students are encouraged to use language in real-life contexts.
  • Facilitate interactive and engaging classes that promote student-centered learning and active participation.
  • Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students, ensuring a meaningful learning experience for everyone.
  • Work with a range of students from beginner to advanced levels, tailoring your approach to suit their age and proficiency.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support students in their language acquisition journey.
  • Create a fun, dynamic, and motivating atmosphere where students feel confident to learn and practice English.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A recognised ESL qualification (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent).
  • Have a Certificate of Sexual Offences with no previous record.
  • Previous experience teaching English as a second language, particularly with young learners (ages 3-18), not required but would be a plus.
  • Passion for teaching and a student-centered, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to work with students of various ages and proficiency levels.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to embrace a natural, student-lead methodology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Flexibility and availability to work Monday to Friday from 15:00 to 19:30.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Melgar de Fernamental (access to own transport).
