Location: Sedbergh School/ Sedbergh Prep School

Responsible To: Assistant Director of Studies (ADoS) and Director of Studies (DoS)

Contract Type: Fixed Term, Full Time (2.5 Week or 5.5 Week Contract: available)

Salary: £600 per week plus full board and accommodation.

Sedbergh School is seeking to appoint suitably-qualified, talented teachers to plan and execute a range of high-quality English lessons for pupils aged 8-16 years old in line with the Sedbergh International Summer School curriculum. The successful candidate will deliver and manage classes with energy and enthusiasm, and carry out non-academic duties such as supervision duties and airport duties with professionalism and flexibility.

Requirements

Essential:

  • TEFL qualification (CELTA or equivalent) and/or degree (or equivalent level 6 on Ofqual) with QTS in English, MFL or primary.
  • Previous summer school and/or boarding school experience (1 year)
  • Native/near native competence in spoken & written English
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • HSE First Aid certificate
  • Full current UK driving licence
  • 2 years' previous EFL experience teaching children in a classroom situation
