This is an excellent independent school in the beautiful North Essex coutryside founded in 1564. It offers both boarding and day options to around 1100 students aged four to eighteen. It employs over 160 teachers and 440 operational staff to provide a well-rounded, holistic education and a variety of co-curricular opportunities. The school celebrated its 450th anniversary in 2014.
Their International Summer School is celebrating its 9th year this summer! It’s an exciting opportunity for students aged 8-17 to engage in academic, sporting, and cultural activities. They are currently looking for enthusiastic and creative staff to join their team.
They are excited to announce that they are currently seeking experienced Head EAL Teachers for their International Summer School in 2023. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the Academic Manager in supervising the academic program and preparing engaging projects and fun activities.
As part of your role, you will assist their committed educators in planning and delivering their lessons. Your responsibilities will include proofreading student reports and lesson plans, as well as helping with class allocations and placement tests. It is important to have great organisational skills, be a good communicator, and have experience in leading a team. Join them in creating a dynamic and engaging program for students from all around the world!
This is a fixed-term role; the Senior Summer School runs between 2nd July and 13th August 2023 and the Junior Summer School runs between 2nd July and 30th July 2023. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in virtual inductions on June 29th-30th, followed by an on-site induction on July 1st to help you get started. Professional development opportunities will be provided. The best part is that you’ll be able to stay on their beautiful campus in the countryside and enjoy full board and meals throughout the programme. Additional responsibilities will involve house duties and participation in excursions.
