Job Details

This school have a vacancy to begin September 2023 for a qualified English language teacher at a small, but rapidly growing, language school in Elche, Alicante. The position would involve teaching small groups, mainly primary children and teens plus some adult conversation groups, one to one or online classes.

Their students are motivated and are used to an English only classroom environment. They learn through dynamic, interactive activities. Teachers need to be equally motivated, well organised and passionate about teaching. .

They are interested in hearing from experienced teachers who can hit the ground running or even those who are starting out and keen to develop. They recognise that character and other experiences are just as important as hours spent in the classroom!

About The Job.

Basic Details:

  • Dates – 18 September 23 – 15 June 24
  • Paid holiday – 2 weeks at Christmas & 1 week at Easter.
  • Initial contract – 16 teaching hours
  • Monday to Thursday
  • Option to teach additional hours including some one-to-one or online classes.
  • Competitive salary (hourly rates are subject to experience and reviewed after the first term)
  • Continuous professional development workshops
  • Additional paid training, depending on needs and objectives.
  • Other bonuses

The academy opened in 2020 and has been growing rapidly since, mainly due to positive word of mouth. They are currently a team of 5 and are looking for teachers who want to join a motivated team and grow with them. Their approach is active learning, providing students of all ages with plenty of chance to practice the language in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Requirements

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria in order for their application to be considered. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with children, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the role.
  • Completed a TEFL/CELTA course
  • Experience in teaching or working in a customer facing role.
  • Be an EU national or have permission to work in Spain
  • Be native speakers of English or have a near native level of English and spent some time living in an English speaking country.
