Job Details

This school are seeking a dynamic and experienced English teacher to join their team in Timor-Leste. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to adult learners. This role encompasses teaching general English, business communication skills, and preparing students for the IELTS exam.

Responsibilities

Implement engaging lesson plans aligned with students' needs and learning objectives.

Teach General English, Business Communication, and IELTS preparation courses to Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced English learners.

Create a conducive learning environment that fosters student participation and interaction.

Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.

Prepare and administer exams and assignments.

Maintain accurate student records and attendance.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum.

Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience in teaching Business English or preparing students for IELTS exams.
Knowledge of different teaching methodologies and assessment techniques.
Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse learning needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Average teaching Hours Per Week: 36

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field will be a plus

Relevant teaching certification (TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA ).

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults.

Proven ability to teach different English language levels.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility and adaptability to diverse learning styles.

Proficiency in using technology for teaching and assessment.

Ability to teach IELTS Preparation will be a plus
