Job Details

The role will be involved in a co-teaching model to ensure seamless course delivery and will include a mentor system to assist in the support of Teachers in China.

This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week; where a maximum of 21 teaching hours each week, with the remainder of time being dedicated towards administrative duties.

Duties include:

Delivery of informative and engaging EAP lessons to students
Participation in weekly meeting, tutorials, lesson planning, English Corner
Contributions towards internal Professional Development
Marking and administrative duties

Requirements

This position is ideal for candidates who are already in China, or willing to go to China for under at least a 12 month contract, with the probability of working on a 24-month contract.

Any prospective candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

be a native English speaker from Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, South Africa, and
be less than 60 years of age

Please note, that these are not the school's specific requirements, rather the rules and regulations outlined by the People’s Republic of China that are necessary to obtain a Z visa (working visa).

Selection Criteria:

possess a TEFL / TESOL / CELTA qualification,
hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in relevant field, (Masters or PhD qualifications highly desirable)
have a minimum of two-year EAP teaching experience at a recognised provider,
ideally have EAP teaching experience and preferably in the classroom or university setting,
demonstrate the ability to prepare and present student-centred lessons aligned with course and learning outcomes,
have proven experience in using a learning management system to assist and enhance the delivery of subject content,
show excellent student/classroom engagement,
possess proven knowledge of assessment and moderation processes,
have highly developed communication and organisation skills, and
demonstrate ability to work collaboratively in a team.
