**Teach English in South East Asia**

This company have an excellent opportunity for English Teachers (must have QTS, SACE or equivalent) on the wonderful island of Borneo. Brunei Darussalam (the Abode of Peace) lives up to its name, providing a calm, purposeful teaching atmosphere, with a backdrop of stunning nature, and beautiful jungle and rain forest. The English teaching project here has been run by CfBT in partnership with the Ministry of Education for over 3 decades, and the role combines ESL teaching for Secondary students, the opportunity to be part of Professional Learning Communities, coaching and unique and varied CPD possibilities. This is especially inviting for families, thanks to the established expat community, the excellent standard of international education for children (at ISB or JIS) and the outstanding accommodation included in the package.

Requirements:
These are strict! They cannot make any exceptions and must be fulfilled BEFORE you apply:
PGCE/B.Ed/US Teaching Licence plus QTS (or equivalent) + 3 years’ experience post qualification (online teaching not included). Teachers must be fully vaccinated, hold a valid driving license and be 54 years old (maximum) at the start of the contract.

Position Overview:

Role: Secondary English Teacher
Location: Brunei, South East Asia
Start Date: September 2022 and January 2023
Contract duration: Sept 2022 – Dec 2023; Jan 2023 – Dec 2024
Minimum teaching experience: 3 years (post-qualification) teaching English/ESL at Secondary/Middle/High School
Desirable: TEFL or CELTA
Sponsorship: Single teachers, teaching couples, families
Education Group: CfBT Brunei Darussalam
School Curriculum: Cambridge English

Salary and Benefits Overview:
Salary: B$3500-5500 per month tax free
Contract completion bonus: 4 months (for a 2-year contract – otherwise pro-rata)
Accommodation: typically 3+ bedroom villa for families; 2 bedroom apartment for singles
Flights: for teacher and dependents
Settling-in allowance: provided, plus hire car until work permits are arranged
Health insurance: subsidized, local health system is also of a high standard
Tuition: subsidized (at JIS or ISB)

Good record-keeping is essential, you will keep a ‘Record Book’ of all teaching and learning plans.
