Job Details

Position 1: International STEM teacher/ Director
Instruction and Integration

– The STEM teacher shall:
• Demonstrate the ability to model, deliver, and craft rich student-centered learning experiences around Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
• Demonstrate the ability to teach Design and supervise the creation and operation of a Maker Space
• Demonstrate the ability to help design and develop Math or Science high school common core standards curricula.
• Demonstrate the ability to create and implement strategies for weaving STEM experiences into inter-disciplinary curricula from grade 8th to grade 12th.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide adequate training to teachers and staff to model consistent effective teaching pedagogy with technology, engagement, lesson plan design, use of technology, STEM and online tools.
• Understand and be able to provide Math and Science entry exams for students assessments. Leadership and Professional Growth
– The STEM teacher shall:
• Identify and apply educational and technology-related research, the psychology of learning, and instructional design principles in guiding use of technology in education.
• Identify, implement, and investigate software in both classroom and administrative environments.
• The STEM teacher will identify resources, plan, and design staff development activities to support professional growth in learning technologies.
• Participate in professional development experiences that allow him or her to observe, evaluate, and apply the use of technology to support instruction. Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced degree from an accredited college/university.
• Expert level of technology and 21st century learning understanding and application.
• Deep knowledge of content standards, effective instructional strategies, and assessment driven instruction.
• Strong Google Apps for Education skills (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, etc).
• Experience (or familiarity with) tools such as, but not limited to: 3D printing, autocad, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, Arduino, Makey-Makey, Codecademy, Sphero, Tynker, BeeBot, Parrot MiniDrone.
• Highly effective communication, listening, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective written, verbal, and technology-based communication skills.

Position 2: Training Center ESL Teacher

Responsibilities:

•Attend classes, training and meetings on time as required.
•Improve your academic and teaching skills consistently through training, group class practice and individual practice.
•Use First Leap’s teaching approach to deliver the courses.
•Provide academic coaching or guidance to students before, during and after class in order to ensure successful learning outcomes, as well as student engagement and motivation.
•Ongoing communication with parents and students.
•Students age: 3-8 years old
•Class size and time: 10-14 students/class; 40 mins/ class
•Around 20-25 classes/week
•no office hours

Requirements
1. speak English at an Idiomatic level
2. Education: BA or Above
3. Certification: TEFL/TESOL is preferred
4. Teaching experience: 1-2 years is preferred
5. meet working visa application requirement
6. living in China currently is preferred
