Fortis is part of a panel that manages and delivers various language courses for the Department of Defence. Courses can range in length from short term to yearlong delivery, material development, and assessment marking.
Presently, they are in the process of seeking a TESOL instructor for the duration from February 19th to June 30th. The role is offered on a casual contract basis, requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Minimum requirements for teachers are:
a. Qualification in Teaching or Language Studies
b. Adult/Tertiary Teaching Experience
c. (Encouraged but not required) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
d. Australian Citizenship
e. Requested to obtain a Police Check upon successful application.
The TESOL contracted instructor will work under the direction of the Course Co-ordinator and the Head of Section to deliver lessons and contribute to the development of materials for both face-to-face and remote delivery courses. The selected instructor will deliver, as per the timetable, face-to-face classes, small group support and guidance sessions that aim to assist learners with language and academic study skills.
